The M301 is a specialist diagnostic tool designed exclusively for VAG Group vehicles — Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda, SEAT, Bentley, Lamborghini, Bugatti

It will only do basic engine and transmission scanning work on non-VAG vehicles such as Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Maruti, Tata, or other brands.

Compatible vehicles include:

• Volkswagen (passenger cars) — select models from 1998 onwards
• Audi — select models from 2008 onwards
• Škoda — select models from 1999 onwards
• SEAT — select models from 2000 onwards
• VW Commercial Vehicles — Caddy, Crafter, Amarok (select years)
• Bentley, Lamborghini, Bugatti — select models
  

Coverage varies by model and year. Not every model within these brands is supported, and supported year ranges differ per vehicle. Verified coverage in the compatibility list runs up to 2019–2020.

Is it a Bluetooth device or handheld?

The M301 is a standalone handheld device with a built-in screen. No smartphone, app, or internet connection is required.

Can it reset the Airbag warning light?

Yes. The M301 can read and clear Airbag/SRS fault codes, which resets the warning light. Note: clearing a fault code removes the warning but does not fix the underlying issue. If the root cause is not addressed, the warning light will return.

How is this different from the MODAXE OBD Bluetooth device?

The MODAXE OBD is a universal engine-only scanner that connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth and works across most car brands. The M301 is a VAG-specialist handheld tool that accesses Engine, ABS, Airbag, and Transmission systems — but only on Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda, SEAT, and related VAG Group vehicles. If you own a VAG Group car and need multi-system diagnostics without a phone, the M301 is the better choice.

How is this different from OBDeleven?
